We are looking for a receptionist/administrator to start as soon as possible on a 1-year placement in a fulltime role, office based.

Overview

The Receptionist & Office Administrator at Box Architects plays an important part in creating the first impression to a client or potential customer & help support the PA to Directors.

The role is to carry out the day-to-day administration duties for the business and support the PA to Directors which include, but are not limited to the tasks listed below:

  • Answering the phone and screening calls
  • Front of house reception
  • Greeting clients and customers
  • Setting up meeting rooms
  • Making teas/coffees for clients
  • Ordering of office stationery
  • Booking travel and accommodation & car hire
  • Photocopying, Scanning and printing documents
  • Laminating and binding
  • Filing
  • General typing of letters and emails
  • Database work § Arranging meetings / ordering lunches
  •  Liaising with suppliers – cleaners etc.
  • Ordering of staff office supplies – milk, tea coffee etc.
  • Looking after printers, cartridges, water cooler etc.
  • Helping organise events, such as liaising with venues and sending invitations out
  • Any other admin tasks that arise
  • Supporting the PA to directors

Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £4.81 per hour. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.

What You Need

Desired Qualifications

GCSE grades C or above in Maths and English or AS levels (or equivalent) would be an advantage. Acceptance is subject to an employer interview.

Desired Skills

A basic knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel is required
